Zac Mihajlovic is a huge Batman fan and he put a lot of hard work into building this Batmobile. He did everything he had to in order to make sure that this amazing vehicle is street legal.
Zac Mihajlovic from Australia, spent two years building a working Batmobile and has turned down offers of nearly $1m dollars for it. He instead opted to make dreams come true for terminally ill children. It was assembled in his back yard by modelling it on the famous car from the 1989 Batman movie. There are only between 10 and 12 similar replicas on the planet. However, with a full registration plate, this is the only one eligible to be driven. Around 30% of the items used are actual parts from the movie.
To date, Mr Mihajlovic have completed more than 40 Make-A-Wishes as kids clamour to jump on board Bruce Wayne's car. Mr Mihajlovic, 29, said: "I've always been a movie fan. Batman has the coolest vehicle and he's the only one without super powers." Mr Mihajlovic applied for the replica to be passed as road-worthy and in December 2013 it was finally registered. The vehicle is now regularly used for professional and charity purposes. The 6.2 metre model does not feature machine guns and oil slickers like the one in the movies, but it does have a functioning front turbine and afterburner.
