It didn't take long for Austrian-American businessman Gerhard Andlinger, who purchased rockstar Jon Bon Jovi's onetime Soho penthouse at 158 Mercer Street, to decide to part ways with the sprawling home. After snatching up the lavish pad in 2015, the 7,452-square-foot home is back on the market asking the grand price of $38 million.
For a bit of history, Bon Jovi purchased the duplex apartment back in 2007 for $24 million and held on to it for about four years before listing it for a eye-popping $45 million. Needless to say, no one took the property of off his hands at that price and for the next three years, the apartment tried its luck with a series of different asking prices until Andlinger came along and purchased it for $37.5 million.
Andlinger's ask isn't completely unreasonable considering it's just half a million more than what he purchased it for. Besides the decor, not much appears to have changed here. There are still six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a media room, and much more. Details include several fireplaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, dramatic columns, and a private elevator but the most stunning of them all remains to be the beautiful rooftop deck with panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline. Let's see how long it takes for the apartment to sell this time around.
