Date: Thursday, Sept 16th - Sunday, Sept 19th, 2010
Location: Addison Circle Park, 4970 Addison Circle Drive
The city of Addison estimated approximately 60,000 fans gathered in Addison Circle Park for polka, German food and Spaten and Franziskaner Bier. Addison's 23rd Annual Oktoberfest featured four days of live music, polka/folk dancing, yodeling/sing-a-longs plus great German food and entertainment. In one of the largest and most authentic Oktoberfest festivals outside of the famous Munich tradition, Joe Chow even tapped the first ceremonial keg at the festival Friday evening.
Among the many guest performances, the Munich Evergreens, a renowned Bavarian polka band, traveled from Germany to perform on the main stage in the "Schloss Addison" tent, which spanned over 30,000 square feet and had air conditioning, picnic seating, a dance floor and plenty of food and drink vendors.
