Another great Memorial Day was spent at the George R. Brown Center for Comicpalooza. First off, there was a lot of construction outside the center and a Houston Rockets game going on to make traffic and parking a nightmare. Once you got inside however, I was thoroughly impressed. The first floor was well organized with set entrances, over 19 wide and full rows for vendors, artists and guests. Then a far section at the end for all the celebrity, which were easy to find. Lines and prices were reasonable considering the guests in attendance.
Headliners were Jeremy Renner, Chloe Bennet, Hayley Atwell, Rosario Dawson and Cobie Smulders. Other celebrities included Summer Glau, Laurie Holden, Stan Lee, Donal Logue, Henry Winkler, George Takei and more.
The second floor was filled with QA panels, pinball machines and arcade games and a place to sit and relax. I popped in and out of most the rooms and found a lot of fans in each room filled with excitement. This is what it's all about! I love to see people getting involved in what they love.
